Job Description:
We are seeking a results-oriented Digital IC Design Engineer to architect and design high-speed Serial Link products for automotive applications.
As a Design Engineer on this team, you work closely with customers to develop industry-leading solutions for the automotive market.
You will design cutting-edge communication and multimedia technologies used for automotive safety and infotainment.
The products are developed in fine line CMOS technologies.
Required skills and qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Design and verification of complex digital blocks.
- Verification of mixed signal systems — including behavioral modeling and gate-level simulation.
- Understanding of the complete digital design flow — from specification to silicon.
- Experience architecting and planning designs at the system level, taking conceptual product definitions, and translating to design implementations.
- Experience leading block/top-level design efforts, technical development, and design innovations.
- Intuitive and analytical understanding of digital test methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with or lead a cross-functional team are musts.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of the complete digital design and verification flow with the ability to drive sound design methodology.
- Experience and success designing high-volume production parts.
- Experience with data integrity and high-speed CMOS design.
- Design and verification experience in digital communications, high-speed serial links, and video transport.
- Development of digital signal processing functions is a plus.
- Silicon bring-up in the lab.
Core responsibilities:
- Architecting and specifying digital sections of complex mixed-signal ICs, including high-speed serial interfaces and solutions for routing and aggregating video data.
- RTL design.
- Test bench development.
- Functional verification.
- Timing analysis.
- Power consumption and power integrity analysis.
- Guiding the physical design and DFT efforts for your designs.
- Assisting production test development for your designs.
- Ensuring that sound methodology is followed.
