Digital Project Manager | Enterprise Systems
Salary: $135,000 - $145,000
The PM role that builds your careerOur client is a high-profile NZ organisation that runs critical national infrastructure and a precinct that works like a small city. Their Digital PMO is busy, with a strong pipeline of enterprise projects to deliver by mid-2027.
They’re after a driven, intermediate Project Manager who wants to grow. You’ll be coached by a Delivery Lead who started in this exact role and was promoted from it, and supported by senior PMs in the team.
What you’ll do
- Run up to 5–6 concurrent projects across corporate and business functions, such as payroll and rostering, parking systems and website compliance
- Manage vendors and track budgets. Delivery here is vendor-led, so commercial sense matters.
- Deliver within a hybrid PMO, mostly waterfall, with agile where it fits
- Represent the PMO at steering committees and engage directly with C-suite stakeholders
- Bring structure and discipline: clear plans, proper reporting and no managing by email
- Solid intermediate project management experience in any industry. Exposure to finance, procurement, telco or infrastructure is a bonus.
- Experience with waterfall or hybrid delivery, and a practical, adaptable approach rather than a dogmatic one
- Confidence managing vendors and budgets
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable with senior stakeholders
- A can-do, self-starting attitude, calm under pressure and genuinely keen to be coached
- $135k–$145k base, 4% matched KiwiSaver, life and income protection insurance and free on-site parking
- Hybrid working with at least 3 days on site
- Broad enterprise exposure across commercial, operations, digital infrastructure, cyber and corporate teams
- A clear growth path in a team that promotes from within
