Residential Treatment Associate

Burlington United Methodist Family Services (BUMFS) most shifts available, at most locations, and the weekend shift pays extra

Locations: Keyser, WV; Burlington, WV; and Old Fields, WV

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a hands-on role in supporting youth in a residential setting:

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth
  • Build meaningful relationships and understand each youth's treatment plan and goals
  • Support daily routines, including hygiene, structure, and life skills
  • Respond to emotional needs with empathy, guidance, and encouragement
  • Manage crisis situations safely using trained intervention techniques
  • Administer medications in accordance with protocols
  • Document progress, incidents, and daily activities accurately
  • Coordinate with therapists, supervisors, schools, and families
  • Facilitate recreational, educational, and spiritual enrichment activities

What the Job Requires

This is an active, hands-on role:

  • Ability to remain alert and respond to crises
  • Physical stamina (may include lifting, running, and intervention support)
  • Comfort working in dynamic environments (indoors/outdoors, varying conditions)
  • Participation in CPI/CPR and safety training
