The Direct Support Professional provides the assistance necessary to meet the supported individual’s needs and promote their health, safety, and overall well-being. This support may include helping the individual accomplish activities of daily living including but not limited to eating, toileting, dressing, bathing, transferring, and ambulation, while encouraging as much independence as possible.
Minimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required
- At least 18 years of age
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Completion of TB screening and testing
- Completion of Physical including transportation/transfer addendum
- Safe driving record, current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background checks
Job Responsibilities:

- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support clients in developing and achieving personal goals.
- Encourage community involvement and social interaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports regarding client progress and incidents.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients.
- Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
