ABOUT THIS ROLE:
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct support services to individuals receiving services through Impact Support Services. The DSP works directly with individuals to support participation in meaningful activities, increase independence, implement individualized goals, and ensure health, safety, and well-being in-home, community, and program settings.
Day Services Assignment
• Support individuals in center-based and community-based day activities.
• Facilitate participation in recreational, habilitative, and skill-building activities.
• Assist with activity preparation and program setup.
JOB SUMMARY:
DSPs provide person-centered support through personal care assistance, health monitoring, medication-related support as authorized, positive engagement, skill building, supervision, transportation assistance, and documentation.
Essential Functions:
- Provide supervision, personal care assistance, medication administration (as applicable), and support with community participation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in program and community settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies, HIPAA, and program requirements.
- Communicate professionally with individuals, families, coworkers, and stakeholders.
