Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #EH-KO)
Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to a young teenage girl in the Syracuse area. The ideal candidate will assist her in maintaining and developing independence both at home and within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with light personal care.
- Support participation in community activities and social engagements.
- Foster meaningful connections and promote the development of social skills.
About the Individual:
This individual is active, enjoys going to the gym, and loves animals. The right candidate will share these interests and bring energy, patience, and enthusiasm to the role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Prior experience as a DSP is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, and a DMV record check (conducted by the agency).
Schedule and Availability:
- Primary hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00–7:00 PM (after school).
- Occasional weekend hours as needed.
- Additional hours may become available after hire.
- Flexible scheduling options depending on individual and DSP compatibility.
Compensation:
- $24.00 per hour
