Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll support daily living activities, community engagement, and personal development, while advocating for individual choice and dignity.

Career Development Pathways
Achieva offers structured opportunities for advancement and pay increases through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) certification program:

DSP I: +$0.50/hour

DSP II: +$0.50/hour

DSP III: +$1.00/hour

Achieva also offers advancement pathways to Front Line Supervisor (FLS) certification, with additional pay increases and bonus incentives upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports individuals in leading meaningful lives through community and personal engagement.
  • Assists with personal care tasks, including bathing, laundry, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Promotes independence through support with budgeting, home management, and daily living skills.
  • Accompanies individuals to appointments, recreational activities, and community events.
  • Documents individual progress, successes, and concerns in accordance with program standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
