Director of Plant Operations and Capital Planning

We are seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations and Capital Planning to lead all maintenance, safety, and facility operations. This role oversees capital planning for a large CCRC campus, preventive maintenance programs, safety, transportation services, grounds maintenance, emergency preparedness, departmental budgeting, team member supervision, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained community environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain a comprehensive Plant Maintenance program that reduces risk and minimizes corrective maintenance costs
• With the support of the Assistant Director of Facilities, supervise maintenance, transportation and safety team members, including scheduling, on-call rotation, training, and performance management.
• Develop and oversee a computer-based work order management system, establishing priorities to ensure efficient completion of work
• Partner with administration and compliance staff to ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards (OSHA, Life Safety Code, CMS, etc.)
• Oversee campus grounds and exterior operations, including landscaping, snow and ice removal, parking areas, roadways, sidewalks, and exterior lighting.
• Develop and administer operating budgets for capital repairs, plant management, and utilities; monitor and analyze budgetary variances
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and 24/7 on-call maintenance coverage.
• Prepare operational and financial reports and participate in organizational committees.
