Director of Human Resources

Miner’s Ace Hardware is looking for an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and our management team.

This senior-level HR leadership position focuses on employee relations, workplace investigations, manager development, performance management, compliance, and organizational risk.

We are looking for someone who is confident handling difficult employee situations, comfortable advising senior leadership, and passionate about developing managers so they can effectively lead their own teams.

• Significant progressive HR leadership experience.

• Experience in a multi-location retail, multi-site, or similarly operational environment.

• Strong knowledge of California employment practices.

• Significant employee-relations and workplace-investigation experience.

• Experience coaching managers through difficult employee situations.

• Experience leading and developing HR professionals.

• Strong business judgment and the ability to balance employee concerns with Company risk and operational needs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional discretion and confidentiality.

• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

• The confidence to respectfully tell senior leadership when you believe an HR decision presents meaningful risk.

• The judgment to know when you can handle an issue independently and when it needs to be escalated.
