At 1800Flowers.com we're passionate about helping customers celebrate, connect, and create meaningful moments. We're looking for a strategic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Director of Site Merchandising & Experience to lead how millions of customers discover, shop, and engage with our portfolio of iconic gifting brands.

In this highly visible leadership role, you'll own the end-to-end digital merchandising strategy across desktop and mobile experiences, ensuring our products, promotions, content, and customer journeys deliver exceptional experiences while driving growth, conversion, and revenue.

If you're equally comfortable discussing customer experience, site performance metrics, merchandising strategy, personalization, and cross-functional execution, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact at one of the leading e-commerce gifting companies.

What You'll Do

Lead Site Merchandising Strategy

  • Define and execute a comprehensive site merchandising strategy across our portfolio of digital brands.
  • Drive how products, categories, content, promotions, and gifting solutions are organized and presented throughout the customer journey.
  • Own merchandising approaches across homepages, landing pages, navigation, search results, category pages, product detail pages, recommendations, upsell, and cross-sell experiences.
  • Create intuitive, customer-centric shopping paths based on gifting occasions, recipient needs, price points, delivery requirements, and seasonal trends.
  • Establish merchandising standards, governance, processes, and best practices across all digital properties.

Elevate the Customer Experience

  • Optimize navigation, taxonomy, search, filtering, sorting logic, content hierarchy, and product sequencing.
  • Partner closely with Product, UX/UI, Technology, Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Merchandising teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Identify customer friction points and implement solutions that improve product discovery, personalization, engagement, and conversion.
  • Translate business objectives and customer needs into scalable site enhancements and digital experience improvements.

Drive Performance Through Data

  • Leverage analytics and customer insights to continuously improve conversion, revenue per visitor, average order value, engagement, and retention.
  • Develop a culture of testing, learning, and optimization through experimentation and A/B testing.
  • Analyze customer behavior, product performance, promotional effectiveness, and profitability indicators to guide decision-making.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and business impact to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Lead Seasonal & Promotional Excellence

  • Own site planning and execution for major holidays, gifting events, promotional campaigns, and product launches.
  • Coordinate merchandising priorities, promotional calendars, content updates, inventory considerations, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure strategic products and initiatives receive maximum visibility and impact.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend innovative merchandising and experience enhancements.

Build and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for site merchandising and product information management.
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Foster collaboration, analytical thinking, customer-centric decision making, and operational excellence.
  • Communicate strategy, priorities, risks, and performance updates across the organization.
