Director, Talent Acquisition
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Talent Acquisition based in Brazil.
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Talent Acquisition leader to build, lead, and scale a high-performing recruiting function.
You will own the overall hiring strategy, partnering with executives and hiring managers to translate business priorities into effective workforce and hiring plans.
The role combines people leadership with operational ownership, requiring you to develop a strong recruiting team while establishing scalable and repeatable hiring processes.
You will introduce structure across sourcing, interviewing, selection, and closing while using data and technology to improve efficiency and predictability.
A key part of the role will be building metrics, playbooks, systems, and workflows that enable recruiting to scale alongside organizational growth.
You will also act as a trusted advisor on role definition, leveling, compensation benchmarking, and senior hiring decisions.

Accountabilities
- Hire, coach, develop, and manage a team of Talent Partners, establishing clear goals, providing regular feedback, and building team capabilities as hiring needs evolve.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with organizational growth plans, hiring forecasts, and workforce planning.
- Build scalable and repeatable recruiting processes covering intake, sourcing, interviewing, selection, offers, and closing.
- Establish standardized interview frameworks, scorecards, hiring playbooks, and manager training to improve consistency and decision-making.
- Own key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, source of hire, offer acceptance, and cost-per-hire.
- Use recruiting data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities, forecast hiring needs, and communicate performance to leadership.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and hiring managers on role definition, leveling, compensation benchmarking, candidate evaluation, and hiring decisions.
- Evaluate and optimize Applicant Tracking Systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting technologies to improve team productivity and candidate experience.
- Drive the effective adoption of AI-powered recruiting tools and modern technologies across the Talent Acquisition function.
- Establish a consistent, high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring journey, including for candidates who are not ultimately selected.
- Strengthen the organization’s presence and reputation within the talent market through effective candidate engagement and employer branding initiatives.
- 10+ years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition, including at least 3 years managing and scaling recruiting teams.
- Proven ability to hire, coach, motivate, develop, and retain high-performing Talent Partners.
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling a Talent Acquisition function, ideally within a high-growth startup or technology environment.
- Strong process orientation with experience creating or improving recruiting workflows, service-level expectations, playbooks, and operating models.
- Experience recruiting across multiple functions and organizational levels, including both technical and non-technical positions and senior or executive-level roles.
- Strong understanding of recruiting KPIs and proven ability to use data and analytics to guide decisions and communicate performance to leadership.
- Hands-on experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting technologies.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled recruiting tools and the ability to evaluate and drive adoption of technologies that improve recruiting efficiency.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with executives and senior hiring managers.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a willingness to remain hands-on and directly contribute to recruiting operations.
- Strong organizational skills, business judgment, and ability to manage multiple hiring priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within distributed or international organizations is an advantage.
