Dispatcher - Communication
Provides surveillance for personnel and vehicles in designated areas of responsibility. Receives, prioritizes and dispatches security assistance to those in need. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
• Maintains surveillance of people and vehicles in the parking areas, questioning individuals, and notifying Security Officers as necessary
• Monitors all alarm systems within the dispatch center.
• Monitors surveillance cameras of various locations within and outside the hospital.
• Dispatches security officers to appropriate locations of all types of alarms.
• Dispatches security officers to investigate suspicious circumstances observed on the cameras.
• Reports unusual circumstances and takes action to notify vehicle owner and/or security services as appropriate
• Receives and monitors all incoming calls to the dispatch center
• Prioritizes all calls for assistance and dispatches security appropriately.
• Complies with all Environment of Care policy standards
• Maintains confidentiality of information
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
• Maintains safe environment
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities
• Monitors all Fire and Security Alarms
• Completes all forms required (i.e. Dr. Red, Code Blue)
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: N/A
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 or more years in parking experience and/or dispatch.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : None
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Dispatcher certification
