Dispatcher
Dispatchers are responsible for the daily management of coordinating deliveries in their area. This includes communicating and working with members of our fleet, sales team, and back-end operations team to provide exceptional service to our customers. Starting wage for this position is $18.50/hr.
- Communicate daily via phone, radio, and emails with an assigned fleet of drivers to ensure proper load instructions are passed along and carried out.
- Determines the most efficient delivery schedules, taking various factors such as driver availability, size of load, trip length, etc. into consideration.
- Work with the sales team to coordinate customer’s delivery requests.
- Maintains regular and professional communication with the customer.
- Plan loads/runs to ensure the best time efficiency and load factor.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance.
- Assist other dispatch/shipping staff as required during spikes in workload.
- Troubleshoot delivery problems.
- Process paperwork according to company shipping procedures.
- Manage multiple and changing priorities.
