Position Summary
The highly organized and detail oriented Fact Witness Coordinator supports legal and administrative operations within a government environment. The successful candidate will provide essential coordination and logistical support for fact witnesses involved in court proceedings, trials, pretrial conferences, and grand jury matters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for fact witnesses, providing guidance and support throughout the legal process.
- Coordinate witness communications regarding:
- Court appearances
- Trial dates
- Pretrial conferences
- Grand jury proceedings
- Travel arrangements and reimbursement procedures
- Arrange and coordinate witness travel, lodging, and related logistics in accordance with government policies and procedures.
- Communicate with witnesses to identify special needs, accommodations, or circumstances requiring additional coordination.
- Work closely with attorneys, court personnel, and government stakeholders to ensure witness appearances are properly supported.
- Assist witnesses upon arrival by providing directions, orientation, and courtroom support.
- Prepare, review, and process witness reimbursement documentation, including vouchers and supporting records.
- Maintain accurate files, databases, calendars, and tracking tools related to witness activities and case schedules.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other administrative documents.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintained according to established procedures.
- Coordinate with federal agencies, courts, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
