Domain Expert - Accounting Practices
About the Role
We are seeking an expert to join our Domain Experts team in the Practice product group. The team is developing online content used by accounting practices undertaking compilation engagements for their clients. This includes tools for workpapers and financial reporting and also preparing and lodging tax returns.
The Domain Expert plays a key role within the product development team, acting as a conduit between Accountant industry practices, development teams, the business and product management by leading the implementation of tax and accounting requirements into contenty.They will have a strong understanding of accountants’ workflows, including their challenges, needs and opportunities for improvement, and will use these insights to support high-quality product delivery. The Domain Expert will be required to work directly with regulatory bodies (such as ATO or IRD) and other industry leaders to gather and implement compliance requirements.
The main focus of this role is to actively develop content by applying accounting and tax expertise, as well as technical skills. You will use AI empowered development tools to create online content that align with compliance requirements and enhance user satisfaction.
The Skills You'll Need
- 2-5+ years’ experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Proven business and commercial insight.
- Familiarity with software development processes or experience working with development teams would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience developing financial or accounting solutions.
- Skill and ability in problem solving, applying technical solutions to business problems.
- Strong facilitation, workshop and organisational skills
