Drafter

• Develop dimensioned drawings and 3D models based on input from engineers and customer.
• Perform low and medium complexity design work on components as directed including 3D library components and assemblies.
• Develop parts lists for new products.
• Creating catalog pages, illustrations and animations; support work within ERP system.
• Work on new design and related projects, not limited to Purchasing support, Quality, Production assistance on new designs and customer communication.
• Organize the creation of demonstration units and work with Production to build prototypes of new designs.
• Assist production personnel related to product assembly, testing, and methods.
• Provide support for Engineering drafting to develop custom solutions for customers, conceptual drawings, and other project work.
• Provides 2D overlay assembly system drawings for contractors and end users.
• Maintaining public CAD and BIM libraries.
• Support to interface with existing or potential customers.
• Supporting drawing and assistance to listing projects with independent product safety testing and certification organizations.
• Attend customer meetings, presentations, site visits and sales events

Requirement

• At least degree in mechanical or electrical Drafting preferred or equivalent experience
• Able to work Independently with minimal supervision
• Able to travel locally and internationally up to 10% of time.
• At least 2 years of drafting experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor or similar CAD system.
• Prior experience with Ultra Ethernet Consortium products is preferred. Autodesk certification preferred.
• Aptitude for electro-mechanical products and applications.
• Ability to create 2D or 3D models and assemblies in a CAD environment, Autodesk mechanical preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude: ability to work with those who build, assemble and other Production functions.
• General electrical knowledge is a plus including the ability to perform low and medium complexity wiring diagrams
• Work experience with Revit/BIM modeling preferred.
