Summary:

The Driver is responsible for transporting and/or aiding in the transporting of individuals to appointments and programs. The Driver reports directly to the Transportation Supervisor.

This position will provide transportation services for CSG’s Northumberland County Adult Mental Health Services Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs. Programs are located in Sunbury and Shamokin, PA.

- Schedule: PT (16 hrs./wk.).
- Monday to Friday Split Shift with Morning & Afternoon Hours.
- Typical hours can be between 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with Wednesday evening hours. Times/hours will vary based on the needs of the individuals.

Wage Information:

$19.00 per hour.

Job Description:

  • Provides transportation services between residential homes, company programs, offices and employment locations.
  • Follows safety and regulatory procedures at all times during vehicle operation including the transitions of individuals getting in and out of vehicles.
  • Performs an established maintenance vehicle check, and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and in safe condition.
  • Completes tasks on the Ecolane MDT (tablet) accurately and timely.
  • Provides support and assistance to individuals while maintaining sensitivity to the rights and dignity of the individual.
  • Willing to learn and model the five principles of trauma informed care; safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
  • Commitment to promote cultural, racial, language and gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Qualifications:

This position requires the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and 2 years of driving experience.
  • Must be able to drive a passenger van.
  • Willingness to comply with random drug testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of motor vehicles operations and safety.
  • Knowledge of the geographic area the program serves.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
