WE ARE LOOKING FOR DRIVERS TO JOIN OUR CARESTAR TEAM!

CareStar Transportation is expanding our team in Arizona! We are seeking dependable, safety-conscious, and compassionate drivers to provide safe, reliable, and professional non-emergency medical transportation services to the communities we serve.

Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Compensation: Revenue- and performance-based compensation. No guaranteed base pay or hourly rate.

Application Information: Medstar Transportation provides recruitment and administrative support for CareStar Transportation through a centralized system. Please note that CareStar is a separate legal entity. This opportunity is with CareStar Transportation in Arizona, not Medstar Transportation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driver's license for at least five years.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have no more than two moving violations within the past three years.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and drug screening.
• Must be available to provide transportation services on weekends.
• Must be physically capable of safely assisting clients and securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to client safety and care.
• Must have broad availability for trip assignments, including Monday through Sunday, anytime between 4:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain clear and timely communication with Dispatch regarding assigned trips and service updates.
• Use a smartphone and designated applications to manage trip assignments and required documentation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Safely transport clients using designated transportation vehicles.
• Properly assist and secure clients using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
• Follow applicable safety standards, transportation procedures, and service requirements.
• Perform other transportation-related services as agreed upon.

APPLICATION AND ONBOARDING PROCESS

1. Submit the Form: Complete the online form.
2. Mobility Driver Introduction (MDI): Qualified applicants will receive an invitation to attend an MDI session.
3. Screening and Verification: Complete the required background check, drug screening, and credential verification.
4. Documentation and Orientation: Submit the required independent contractor documentation and complete the online training.
5. In-Vehicle Training and Evaluation: Complete the practical training and demonstrate readiness to provide transportation services safely.
6. Final Clearance: Once all requirements have been satisfied and you have been approved, you may begin accepting available trip assignments.
