Summary

Supervises the Drop Count department, overseeing gaming revenue collection, money counting, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising all aspects of the Drop Count department, such as gaming machine drop, table game drop and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, federal and state laws governing monetary transactions and policies, procedures and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by reporting senior.

  1. Coordinates and supervises the activities of all Drop Count employees on property.
  2. Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, as well as policies, procedures and controls.
  3. Ensures adequate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating employees, as needed.
  4. Ensures the integrity of all Drop Count transactions.
  5. Assists in casino drops, counting money, and reconciling gaming revenue.
  6. Reconciles all totals to the Master Summary, forwards information to accounting.
  7. Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork.
  8. Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve Drop Count disputes.
  9. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all employees under his/her span of control.
  10. Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
