Duty Manager - Fairmont Agra

  • Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure seamless service delivery across all departments
  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to maintain service standards and operational efficiency
  • Address guest concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain security protocols, guest safety, and property protection throughout the shift
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance standards, and compliance with hotel policies
  • Manage emergency situations and coordinate appropriate responses in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Prepare and submit detailed shift reports documenting incidents, guest feedback, and operational issues
  • Liaise between departments to ensure effective communication and collaborative problem-solving
  • Support revenue management initiatives and assist with occupancy optimisation strategies
  • Conduct staff briefings and provide guidance on service excellence and operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all areas of the hotel
  • Manage key control systems and maintain security of restricted areas and valuables
  • Assist with staff training, induction, and performance management as required
  • Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate with engineering teams for timely resolution

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a hotel operations or duty management role within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Proven track record of managing multi-departmental teams and coordinating staff across front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS) and property management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated ability to handle guest complaints and resolve conflicts with professionalism and discretion
  • Sound understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations applicable to hospitality establishments
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel property
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Knowledge of emergency management and crisis response procedures
  • Experience with revenue management and occupancy optimisation strategies
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Hindi or other regional Indian languages
  • Previous experience in staff training, induction, and performance management
  • Familiarity with security systems and access control protocols
