Ecommerce QA Engineer

Job description for Ecommerce QA

Create, review, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios

Identify, log, and track defects using Jira

Perform different types of testing:

• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke & Sanity Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
• API testing
• Load and performance testing

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve defects

Validate fixes and re-test issues to ensure closure

Prepare test reports and share execution status with teams

Production support

Incident Triage Respond to production alerts, classify severity, and drive resolution within SLA

Order & Payment Issues – Investigate stuck orders, failed payments, and checkout errors in real time

Deployments & Rollbacks – Support hotfixes, manage CI/CD pipelines, and roll back breaking changes

Log Analysis – Use Sentry, Datadog, or Splunk to identify root causes from production logs

Post-Mortem Writing – Document incidents with root cause, timeline, fix, and prevention steps

Proactive Monitoring – Track performance regressions, deprecated APIs, and recurring failure patterns
