Summary
An EHS Specialist implements and maintains workplace safety systems for a pharmaceutical company in Singapore, ensuring compliance with local regulations and conducting safety audits.
The Specialist 1, EHS supports the implementation and maintenance of the site's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management system, ensuring compliance with company standards and Singapore regulatory requirements. Acting as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO), the role advises stakeholders on workplace safety while specializing in areas such as Biosafety, Compliance, Process Safety, or Occupational Safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the EHS management system, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore EHS legislation and maintain the legal register.
- Organize and conduct EHS training to promote a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate monthly safety, health, environmental, and fire safety meetings.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Stay updated on EHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Perform other EHS-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
- Certification: Mandatory WSH Level C certification (recognized by MOM).
- Experience: Entry-level to 0–4 years of EHS experience.
