[EJH] Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Application Software (ASW)
Summary
Develop embedded software for automotive brake systems (ABS, ESP, AEB) using C/C++ and model-based tools like Simulink, from design to vehicle validation.
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Automotive Brake Systems (e.g. ABS, ESP, Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Sensor Signal Processing, and vehicle dynamics control functions), you will participate in the development of embedded software functions throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation, verification, and system validation.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Analyze customer and system requirements; develop software requirements, designs, and technical documentation.
- Design, implement, verify, and debug embedded software functions using model-based and/or code-based development approaches.
- Develop test specifications, evaluate test results, and support software integration, calibration, and vehicle validation activities.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by project teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery, software quality, and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.
- At least 4 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Good programming skills in C/C++ and good understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller-based software development.
- Experience in software development activities including design, implementation, debugging, verification, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle, software engineering processes, and requirement-based development.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Good English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive software development, especially brake, chassis, or vehicle dynamics systems.
- Experience with ASCET, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar development tools.
- Knowledge of CAN communication protocols and related tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL).
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, V-Model, Agile development, or software review processes.
- Experience in software integration, calibration, and vehicle testing activities.
- Japanese language skills are a plus.
