Job details
- Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
- We are seeking an experienced SAS System Administrator EL1 Equivalent to support SAS infrastructure platforms underpinning data analytics functions within Services Australia and Department of Social Services.
Key duties and responsibilities
Duties may include some or all of the following:
- Provide ongoing support and technical administration for several SAS products including SAS VEA and SAS Viya
- Diagnose and resolve system issues and contribute to the resolution of incidents
- Plan, test, and execute patching activities to ensure compliance with security and regulatory policies and deliver system enhancements
- Prepare, review and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
- Provide detailed, specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to the senior executive where appropriate
- Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues
Knowledge/Qualifications
- A degree in software engineering, computer science, or a similar field is highly desirable.
