Key Job Responsibilities

Substation & Transmission Design: Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, site layouts, plan views, and sectional views for HV substations.

Electrical Schematics: Create wiring diagrams, protection and control schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and cable routing layouts.

Technical Documentation: Produce Bills of Materials (BOM), cable schedules, and earthing/lighting layouts.

As-Built Drawings: Revise preliminary designs to reflect "as-built" changes gathered from field site investigations.

Design Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ANSI) and safety protocols.

Coordination: Collaborate with structural and mechanical engineers to manage equipment clearances, busbar design, and steel structure fabrication drawings.



Requirements

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

Software Proficiency: Expert-level AutoCAD (2D) and frequently 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SolidWorks, or MicroStation).

Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with high-voltage equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors).

Education: Typically requires an Associate’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.

Experience: 7-10 years of experience in electrical drafting, specifically in power transmission, utility, or industrial projects
