What do you get to do in this position?
-Design of electrical systems and/or communications systems; ensuring that these systems meet applicable standards & codes.
-Create electrical engineering for new projects, updating existing drawings as needed, and communicate with stakeholders about changes.
-Perform electrical calculation to size correctly electrical devices and conductors.
-Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
-Suggest modifications to develop and design to enhance quality and performance of equipment.
-Review designs development for conformance with applicable codes, utilizing engineering standards along with good engineering practices.
-Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
-Prepare and oversee electrical power system design having single line diagrams, wiring and elementary diagrams along with layout and circuitry design.
- Research competitor products quarterly and collaborate with product development team to generate ideas for making our products the best ones on the market.
-Review supplier drawings conforming with laid down specifications plus dimensional compatibility along with mating assemblies and components.
-Works with senior and fellow engineers in NAM and abroad to develop alternatives and options for further development of projects and products.
-Supports product sourcing, purchasing and component selection as required by the design process.
-Collaborate with assembly teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance when required.
-Set up and maintain the ECAD system, developing library’s and establishing standard components.
-Develop an electrical engineering standard for components and suppliers.
-Participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and codes.
-Support installation on site of equipment, ensuring safety and quality requirements.
-Collaborate during commissioning and Site Acceptance Test, to fulfill End User requirements.
-Technical support and Customer service. (Willing to travel up to 30%).
-Define and deploy electrical standard to plants and equipment suppliers
