Electrical QA/QC Engineer

The Electrical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical work on MEP projects complies with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. This role involves quality assurance and quality control functions, including inspections, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants.

  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks on all electrical installations as per project specifications, standards (e.g., DEWA, IEC, BS, NFPA), and approved drawings.
  • Review Electrical Method Statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals.
  • Monitor all site construction activities related to electrical works to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related issues and inspections.
  • Maintain all quality documentation as per project QA/QC plan, including inspection reports, test records, and snag lists.
  • Follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Ensure timely submission of test reports, as-built drawings, and final QA/QC documentation for project handover.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Support commissioning activities by verifying testing procedures and results.
