Electrical Technician

Core Objective: To ensure the uninterrupted operation of facility electrical systems through proactive maintenance, swift troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety, cGMP, and local regulations.

  • Location in Gul /Tuas Plant

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot plant electrical assets (switchgears, transformers, PDBs, LV panels, automated conveyors, and emergency generators).

  • Coordinate specialized maintenance with external vendors (e.g., EV charging stations and specialty equipment).

  • Oversee on-site contractors as the authorized Permit-to-Work (PTW) host, ensuring all external works meet company quality standards.

  • Administer the CMMS platform to close corrective/preventive maintenance tasks and track technical spare parts inventory.

  • Prepare incident reports, update equipment logs, and draft risk assessments / method statements.

  • Actively champion a "Zero Incident" safety culture by following all Life-Saving Rules and statutory HSE guidelines.

Qualifications / Requirement:

  • Higher NITEC (Electrical) + 6 years' experience OR Diploma (Electrical) + 3 years' experience.

  • High-risk safety certs: LOTO, Work at Height, and Confined Space (Supervisory level).
  • Experience working alongside LEWs for regulatory license renewals.
  • Prior background in a regulated plant environment (Pharma/Chemical/Oil & Gas) is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with more years of experience may be considered for the Assistant engineer role .
