Electrical Test Engineer
Summary
An on-site quality/testing engineering role in Chelmsford, MA: the Electrical Test Engineer develops test methods per design specs, writes revision-controlled test instructions, analyzes non-conformances in SAP (Qnotes), manages calibration of measurement equipment (incl. ATEs), performs gage R&R/MSA, and supports customer and internal audits.
ELECTRICAL TEST ENGINEER
Reports to: Quality Manager
Summary:
The role of Test Engineers is to thoroughly check materials, procedures and electrical systems to ensure that customers get high-quality, functional products. They run tests on various components and features in order to identify and fix technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test methods that meet requirements outlined in governing design specifications.
- Write and maintain revision-controlled test instructions for all inspection operations.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Test Technicians to analyze non-conformances from inspection.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Test Technicians to record non-conformances in SAP system on Qnotes and disposition as required.
- Lead a recurring RCCA meeting for internal factory (Q3) Qnotes.
- Manage calibration of measurement equipment with outside calibration vendors.
- Responsible for introduction of new measurement equipment such as ATE’s.
- Perform gage R & R and MSA of measurement equipment as required.
- Support customer Source Inspection as required.
- Support customer audits as required.
- Work with Quality Manager to perform internal audits.
- Work with Quality Manager to develop quality control plans for all product lines.
- Work with Quality Manager to support Design Reviews (CDR's, PDR's and FDR's).
