Cafeteria Aide Part-Time (Elementary School)

12 hours/week | Tuesday-Friday, 10:30 AM-1:30 PM

Looking for a job that fits around your day? Providence Hall Charter School’s Elementary campus in Herriman is hiring a part-time cafeteria assistant. You’ll work Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. That’s 12 hours a week, with Mondays off, no nights, and no weekends. The job follows the school calendar, so you’re off for summer and school holidays. No experience needed. We’ll train you.

What you’ll do

• Help prep, portion, and serve breakfast and lunch following the posted menu
• Keep the kitchen and cafeteria clean, including dishes, tables, and floors
• Help younger students at lunch (opening containers, finding a seat) and reward good behavior through our positive behavior system
• Help set up and break down the cafeteria tables
• Attend occasional trainings and staff meetings
• Work as part of a friendly kitchen team

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable, patient, and a good teammate who stays calm when it gets busy
• Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet during your shift
• Comfortable in a lively cafeteria with lots of kids
• Food handler’s permit within 2 weeks of hire (we’ll cover the cost / help you get it)
• Pass a background check and reference check
