Embedded Software Engineer, ADAS HMI
Summary
The Embedded Software Engineer will develop HMI and driver-assist software for passenger vehicles, focusing on robust, mass-production quality code. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and build toolchains for ADAS systems using C/C++.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A broad knowledge of software development, including planning and conceptualization phase to the development phase, and ability to identify optimal engineering solutions
- Ability to create cooperative relationships with other hardware and software engineers
- Work independently to complete tasks to completion
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working together with other teams, define requirements, functional design, implement, and validate solutions
- Engineer and support the necessary toolchains and infrastructures for coding and testing
- Ensure software quality required for mass-production development
- Report to the manager in charge of HMI application development, and come to our office 3 days per week following our hybrid work policy
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years developing embedded software using C or C++
- Experience supporting other programmers and leading software implementation
- Business-level communication and writing skills in both Japanese and English
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience in production-level software engineering, such as mobile, web, or desktop applications
- Experience in HMI development or interface development
- Experience developing control software for cockpit ECUs such as instrument clusters, heads-up displays, and multimedia systems
- Experience developing for Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs)
- Experience in product development or development environment setup utilizing machine learning or AI
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF
- Project management experience with Agile/Scrum
- Experience communicating directly with diverse internal and external teams to understand and share requirements, specifications, and technical details
