TEAM

As advanced ADAS systems using machine learning and AI replace part of human cognition, judgment, and operation, we aim to create a car that has a clear, easy-to-understand driving experience. Our team provides research, engineering, and development for the human-machine interface (HMI), creating a new driving experience and features for drivers. We pride ourselves on our contributions to safety, enhanced driver experience, and the future of mobility.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will develop software for robust driver-assist and automated driving, focusing on HMI and driver features for passenger vehicles. We expect you to have a passion for developing and delivering technology products that are used around the world. You’ll have experience in the below engineering areas:
  • A broad knowledge of software development, including planning and conceptualization phase to the development phase, and ability to identify optimal engineering solutions
  • Ability to create cooperative relationships with other hardware and software engineers
  • Work independently to complete tasks to completion

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working together with other teams, define requirements, functional design, implement, and validate solutions
  • Engineer and support the necessary toolchains and infrastructures for coding and testing
  • Ensure software quality required for mass-production development
  • Report to the manager in charge of HMI application development, and come to our office 3 days per week following our hybrid work policy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years developing embedded software using C or C++
  • Experience supporting other programmers and leading software implementation
  • Business-level communication and writing skills in both Japanese and English

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in production-level software engineering, such as mobile, web, or desktop applications
  • Experience in HMI development or interface development
  • Experience developing control software for cockpit ECUs such as instrument clusters, heads-up displays, and multimedia systems
  • Experience developing for Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs)
  • Experience in product development or development environment setup utilizing machine learning or AI
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF
  • Project management experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Experience communicating directly with diverse internal and external teams to understand and share requirements, specifications, and technical details
