Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to strengthen our R&D team and develop firmware and software for advanced digital cutting systems.
About The Position
You will join our software team to develop and improve embedded solutions for high-precision cutting equipment, working closely with hardware and electronics engineers in a hands‑on environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
- Solid experience with bare‑metal embedded development on microcontrollers and a strong understanding of microcontroller architecture, peripherals, and hardware/software interaction.
- Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems
- Experience with real‑time and event‑driven systems, including RTOS concepts.
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets
- English required (plus Czech for location Brno or preferably Norwegian for location Kongsberg)
- Experience with embedded Linux, communication protocols (CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, etc.) and/or in automation, robotics, or sensor systems is a plus. As is knowledge of Git, CI/CD, build tools, or Python
