[EMC] Automotive Diagnostic Software Engineer (MA) (HN)
Summary
Develops and validates automotive diagnostic software for modern vehicles, mapping standards to OEM specs and testing on real cars using protocols like UDS and CAN.
We are looking for an Automotive Diagnostic Software Engineer (2-3 Years of Experience) to join our automotive engineering team. The candidate will be involved in the development of diagnostic software solutions for modern vehicles, working with standard automotive diagnostic protocols and performing validation directly on test vehicles.
This role requires a solid foundation in automotive engineering, hands-on testing capabilities, and flexibility to travel internationally.
Main responsibilities
- Mapping of ESI standard texts to OEM texts for the Automotive Aftersales & Aftermarket diagnostic tester software.
- Requirement specification for Automotive Aftersales & Aftermarket diagnostic tester software.
- End to end diagnostic content creation for all automotive systems e.g., engine management, electric & hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, airbags etc.
- Analysis of vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers.
- Simulation of automotive systems using simulator solutions and in conjunction with OE testers.
- Design & creation of workflow or test sequences in Bosch standard tools
- Evaluation of OE diagnostic data, derivation of useful insights and implementing the same in target tester.
- On-vehicle validation of implemented diagnostic content and creation of test reports.
- Benchmarking and reverse engineering of aftersales & aftermarket diagnostic testers.
- Coverage evaluation of aftermarket tester by performing tests on various vehicle brands and systems, in various markets & create test reports.
- Thorough review the deliverables and provide recommendations.
- Continuous learning and self-development.
- Closely interact with software engineering team and technical experts from global teams.
- Travel to Workshops/OE dealerships on need basis for on the vehicle coverage, tracing, and release testing.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering
- Automotive Mechatronics Certification (Chứng chỉ Cơ điện tử Ô tô)
- Strong vehicle system knowledge, including the sub-systems and components.
- Must have proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle and make it roadworthy.
- Ability to understand OE system description, service & repair manuals.
- Ability to handle diagnostic testers like VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, Zenith etc.
- Good knowledge on wiring diagrams and conventions.
- Good knowledge of Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool - ESI [tronic].
- Sound knowledge on CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939.
- Experience with analyzer & simulation tools from Vector or Samtec e.g., HSX, HS+ etc.
- Handling of various OEM testers
