Responsibilities
- Provide immediate evaluation and treatment of patients in emergency situations
- Perform emergency procedures and interventions following established protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient management
- Interpret diagnostic tests to inform effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
- Engage in continuous professional development and departmental training
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine
- Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice
- Preferable clinical experience in emergency medicine or critical care
- Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
