Summary

Oversee electrical safety and energy compliance in a data center, enforcing OSHA/NFPA standards, managing LOTO procedures, and validating system performance during commissioning.

  • Manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance across all contractors.
  • Act as the primary liaison between construction, commissioning, and operations teams regarding energy safety.
  • Review and approve energy isolation plans and permits.
  • Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Monitor and report on energy usage and performance metrics.
  • Validate mechanical and electrical system performance during commissioning.
  • Assist in implementing energy-saving strategies and sustainability best practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of energy control activities and compliance metrics.
  • Train and mentor teams on electrical safety and energy isolation procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 - 7 years in electrical safety management, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with energy isolation systems, commissioning processes, and large-scale electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, HVAC, UPS, switchgear, and BMS.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and energy monitoring tools.
