Dana Incorporated in Rivoli, Italy seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of software for automotive ECUs in the vehicle electrification unit. You will learn and contribute to software implementation, integration, documentation, debugging, and verification under guidance from senior engineers.
The role involves working with C/C++ and AUTOSAR components, along with cybersecurity features like secure communication, secure boot, and updates when required.
Support development, configuration, integration, and validation of embedded software for automotive ECU programs. Contribute to embedded software implementation using C/C++, model-based generated code, or AUTOSAR software components. Assist with software integration activities involving application software, basic software, communication interfaces, diagnostics, memory services, and bootloader-related features. Support cybersecurity-related software features such as secure communication, secure boot, secure software update, key management, and HSM interface integration. Review and clarify assigned customer, system, and software requirements with support from senior team members. Prepare software design notes, implementation documentation, test evidence, and engineering work products required for project delivery. Maintain traceability between requirements, design items, implementation tasks, and verification evidence using lifecycle tools. Support debugging, issue analysis, root cause investigation, and verification activities for embedded software features. Follow software development processes, coding guidelines, configuration management practices, and quality expectations aligned with automotive standards. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, software integration reviews, project meetings, and technical training. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
