Engineer (Fire Alarm & Fire Protection)
Technical Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute the installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including:Fire Alarm SystemsSprinkler SystemsHydrant & Hose Reel SystemsClean Agent Systems (FM-200, Novec 1230)Gas Suppression SystemsEmergency Voice Communication Systems
- Perform system inspections, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and rectification.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable Singapore Standards.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare work schedules, manpower allocation, and material requisitions.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support.
Documentation
- Prepare:Service reportsInspection checklistsTesting & commissioning reportsMethod statementsRisk AssessmentsTechnical submissionsAs-built drawings
- Maintain accurate maintenance and project records.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
- Ensure works comply with the Singapore Fire Code and relevant Singapore Standards.
- Conduct site safety inspections and implement corrective actions where required.
Customer Support
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns.
- Provide technical advice to customers.
- Support quotation preparation and recommend system upgrades or replacements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in fire alarm and fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of Singapore Fire Code and Singapore Standards is preferred.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and supervise technicians.
- Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving licence (preferred).
