Job Summary

Lead and manage mechanical and electrical (M&E) project activities, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with safety standards, and effective coordination among clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and supervise all mechanical and electrical (M&E) work at project sites to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain operational efficiency and system reliability
  • Support continuous development by addressing operational requirements to sustain smooth project execution
  • Inspect fire and protection alarm systems and coordinate timely repairs to ensure safety compliance
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures to maintain site functionality and safety standards
  • Prepare accurate quotations and proposals to support project budgeting and client communication
  • Lead project scheduling and coordinate project teams, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to monitor and drive work progress
  • Attend project meetings with clients and consultants to align project goals and resolve issues
  • Make accurate, decisive, and prompt decisions related to M&E work matters to maintain project momentum
  • Propose practical, reliable, and cost-saving design solutions that comply with relevant building codes and practices
  • Provide regular feedback to management on work progress and site issues to enable corrective actions
  • Oversee subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
  • Coordinate and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning services to meet project specifications
  • Manage site documentation requirements to support project tracking and compliance
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned to support project and operational needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Technical knowledge of M&E systems, including Electrical and Mechanical systems, Fire protection systems, AV systems, and ACMV systems, is advantageous
  • Willingness and ability to perform shift work if required
