Engineering Manager Role :
Job Description
Largely responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.
You are expected to understand the business requirements, partner products, services and integrate the same with our platforms, products and features. You will be involved in building up infrastructure to enable run businesses (of our Enterprise customers) more efficiently. You will work closely with Partners, Professional Services, Analytics and other Engineering groups for defining, designing and delivering solutions. You will own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead engineers, scientists and quality analysts.
- Direct and coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance
- Writes product requirement documents,
- Implements and tracks development timelines
- Negotiates feature sets with the development leads and product teams.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Domain Knowledge(Good to Have)
- Understand various types of healthcare data files like CCD, Claims 835, 837, CDA etc. He /She should be familiar with terms used in US healthcare
- Knowledge of Population health management, ACO, Meaningful Use, CMS, PQRS, NCQA, HEDIS quality measures, MSSP and payer contract performances.
- Understanding of leading market EMRs, Healthcare integration products and Methods of integration.
- Familiar with various coding systems like RxNorm, CPT, ICD used in US healthcare
- Do’s and Dont’s of Health care IT Security, HIPPA compliance and generally dealing and navigating through IT processes
- Willing to learn about Bigdata Technologies
Technical Capabilities
- Hands on experience in extracting data using SQL, NoSQL to analyze data. Some experience with relational databases.
- Ability to understand various data exchange formats XML, JSON, HL7 used in healthcare. Use data inspection tools and create mapping documents.
- Basic experience with scripting (shell, perl, python,).
- Good on programming language on Java or Python
- Understanding of REST APIs, Web services, service oriented architectures.
- Understanding of various web architecture.
- Challenges and benefits of data extraction in In-Premise and Cloud deployments.
- Any experience with NoSQL databases and big data is bonus.
Abilities
- Project, vendor, people, stakeholder coordination and strong communication skills are a must.
- Experience with delivering small, medium and large integration and analytics projects
- Experience working with cross functional teams from IT, software engineering and
business domains - Must be able to navigate thru competing/shifting priorities, demands and timelines
through analytical and problem solving capabilities - Ability to expertly remove obstacles for the team or direct obstacles to appropriate
owners for resolution quickly. - Comfortable working with and influencing a wide range of roles and levels
