English to Korean - Legal (Judiciary) Translator and /or Editor
Summary
Freelance, ongoing-as-needed contract doing remote English-to-Korean legal/judicial translation and editing for Global Language Strategies, roughly 10-15 hours per week during Eastern Time business hours. Work requires native-level Korean and English, U.S. legal terminology expertise, CAT tools (Trados preferred), U.S. citizenship, and security clearance processing.

Global Language Strategies is seeking a qualified freelance linguist to provide English-to-Korean legal translation and/or editing services. This is an ongoing, as-needed contract opportunity for experienced professionals with strong legal terminology skills, excellent written accuracy, and the ability to deliver high-quality work remotely.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of professional experience providing legal translation and/or editing services.
- Native-level Korean and English writing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and Korean.
- Bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field.
- Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Security and Citizenship Requirements:
***Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be willing to complete security clearance processing, including fingerprinting, if selected.
Availability:
Candidates should generally be available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays and able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, as needed.
