English to Turkish - Legal (Judiciary) Translator and /or Editor
Summary
Freelance, as-needed remote contract for an English-to-Turkish legal (judiciary) translator and/or editor. The linguist translates and edits legal documents (~10-15 hours/week, weekday 9-5 ET availability) using CAT tools such as Trados, and must be a U.S. citizen willing to complete security clearance processing.

Global Language Strategies is seeking a qualified freelance linguist to provide English-to-Turkish legal translation and/or editing services. This is an ongoing, as-needed contract opportunity for experienced professionals with strong legal terminology skills, excellent written accuracy, and the ability to deliver high-quality work remotely.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional experience providing legal translation and/or editing services.
- Native-level Turkish and English writing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and Turkish.
- Bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field.
- Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Security and Citizenship Requirements:

Availability:
Candidates should generally be available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays and able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, as needed.
