Enterprise Architect (Shipping Industry)

Salary: $7,500 – $9,500 per month

Our client, a technology company supporting a leading global shipping organisation, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect / Technology Architect to drive enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with senior technology stakeholders to shape enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and best practices.

• Define and promote architecture standards, frameworks, best practices, and technology guidelines across enterprise systems.

• Research emerging technologies and develop Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate solutions and recommend improvements.

• Design and optimise system architectures to enhance performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and security.

• Support the development of the Enterprise IT Roadmap and drive digital transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.

• Participate in Architecture Committee meetings, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to review technical solutions and resolve challenges.

• Champion engineering excellence, architecture governance, cloud adoption, system resilience, and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to technical papers, enterprise reports, presentations, and technology strategy development while managing multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 4–5 years working with enterprise-grade systems and 2–3 years in cloud architecture, design, implementation, or support.

• Strong understanding of modern web technologies, software development lifecycle, and project management principles.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Alibaba Cloud.

• Knowledge of modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices architecture (MSA), cybersecurity, AI/ML, real-time analytics, or application modernisation.

• Hands-on exposure to DevOps, Big Data, machine learning, serverless computing, or cloud migration is advantageous.
