Enterprise Solution Architect
Summary
Pre-sales Enterprise Solution Architect at ChargeAfter serving as the primary technical resource for sales — leading discovery, demos, POCs, and RFPs of the embedded financing platform with enterprise partners. Centers on REST APIs, OAuth/tokenization, and enterprise integrations in fintech/payments.
We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Enterprise Solutions Architect to join the Solutions team at ChargeAfter. In this role, you will be a key technical resource across the full customer journey. You’ll partner with our sales team to demonstrate the power of our embedded financing platform to prospective enterprise partners, work alongside customer success to guide partners through integration and adoption, and help the broader organization by authoring solution documentation and championing best practices.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of deep technical expertise, sales acumen, and a consultative mindset — someone who can build confidence during sales cycles and easily bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution.
This is a remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. Eastern Time zone. You’ll be expected to work standard Eastern business hours to stay closely aligned with our sales, customer success, and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Technical Discovery & Sales Strategy
- Trusted Technical Advisor: Serve as the trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales cycle, building rapport with technical stakeholders at prospective partner organizations.
- Discovery: Lead deep-dive discovery sessions to uncover a prospect’s technical environment, including POS architecture, core banking systems, and payment ecosystems.
- Solutioning & Whiteboarding: Facilitate live whiteboarding and solution-design sessions with technical and business stakeholders, translating requirements into clear, workable integration approaches in real time.
- Strategic Alignment: Identify and articulate specific opportunities where ChargeAfter can solve the prospect’s unique challenges, such as enhancing customer experience or driving revenue growth.
Demonstrations & Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Custom Demonstrations: Design and deliver tailored technical presentations and product demos that highlight ChargeAfter’s value proposition for specific enterprise use cases.
- POC Management: Own the technical track of Proof of Concepts, from defining success criteria to building custom integrations that prove technical feasibility.
- Solution Design: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to propose innovative, resilient integration designs that meet the prospect’s requirements.
Technical Sales Support
- RFP/RFI Ownership: Take the lead on the technical portions of RFPs and RFIs, ensuring all technical requirements and security standards are accurately addressed.
- Solution Validation: Ensure a smooth path to contract by providing expert technical reassurance and resolving any functional gaps identified by the prospect's technical team.
- Internal Liaison: Translate prospective partner feedback into actionable insights for the Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.

- Experience: 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Presales Engineer for a B2B SaaS platform, with a track record of owning the technical track on enterprise deals.
- End-to-End Engagement: Comfort operating across the full customer journey — partnering with both sales and post-sales/customer success teams, and experience in a solutions, implementation, or enablement capacity is a must.
- Industry Expertise: Direct experience in embedded lending, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), or point-of-sale financing — or closely adjacent FinTech / Payments — ideally working with enterprise merchants or financial institutions.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, security protocols (OAuth, tokenization), and enterprise system integration methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex technical architectures and ROI-driven value propositions to both developers and C-level executives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Prototyping & Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot integration flows, debug technical issues, and build functional proofs-of-concept for prospective partners.
