Environment Owner / Infrastructure Project Manager (f/m)

Summary

Oversees IT environments (Dev/Test/PreProd/Production) for a core banking migration, coordinating infrastructure changes, resolving conflicts, and ensuring readiness for tech and migration initiatives. Works with teams, vendors, and legacy systems in a fintech context.

We are looking for an experienced Environment Owner / Infrastructure Project Manager to join a strategic, long-term Core Banking programme. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the readiness of IT environments used across key technology and migration initiatives.

Location: Gdańsk / Gdynia / Warsaw, Poland
Work model: Hybrid – 3 days per week from the office

The preferred location is the Tricity area. We are also open to candidates based elsewhere in Poland who are willing to travel occasionally to Tricity.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the availability and readiness of Dev, Test and PreProd environments, as well as provide coordination support for Production when required.

  • Coordinate environment refreshes, code installations, database imports, patches and infrastructure changes.

  • Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks and impediments impacting planned deliveries.

  • Resolve scheduling conflicts between multiple teams using shared environments.

  • Define environment requirements and cooperate with providers responsible for infrastructure procurement, configuration and ongoing maintenance.

  • Coordinate technical support during migrations, testing activities and Production Go Live events.

  • Work closely with technical teams, Operations, Application Maintenance, Production Support, infrastructure teams and external vendors.

  • Manage user access to environments.

  • Coordinate vendor activities related to environment setup and ensure appropriate support during testing and production events.

  • Support the infrastructure lifecycle, including the introduction of new technologies and decommissioning of legacy solutions.

Requirements – MUST HAVE

  • Several years of experience in IT Project Management or IT Service Management within complex IT environments, particularly involving infrastructure and/or platforms.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating and maintaining Dev/Test/PreProd environments and supporting Production environments.

  • Experience planning environment availability, refreshes/imports, installations and infrastructure changes.

  • Strong ability to manage dependencies, risks, impediments and scheduling conflicts across multiple teams.

  • Experience working with technical teams, Operations, Application Maintenance/Production Support and external vendors.

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and environments, enabling effective problem diagnosis and coordination with technical experts.

  • Strong ownership, proactive approach and problem-solving mindset.

  • English proficiency sufficient to work effectively in an international environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile / SAFe, including cooperation with Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure, such as application servers, databases, networks and firewalls.

  • Experience with Temenos Transact or Core Banking environments.

  • Experience with banking data or system migrations.

  • Experience with Trial Conversion, Final Dress Rehearsal or Production Go Live activities.
