Environmental Compliance Officer $4.5K - $5.5K + VB + Transport provided / Location: West
About the Role
· Ensure all activities comply with Singapore regulatory standards set by NEA, SCDF, PUB and MOM
· You will lead inspections, permits, audits and regulatory reporting across offshore and marine waste operations
Key Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of waste management facilities, equipment and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement waste management plans, policies and SOPs to reduce waste generation and promote recycling and reuse
- Review and analyse waste data to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Lab teams to ensure internal and external waste handling meets NEA requirements
- Train employees on proper waste handling, segregation and disposal procedures
- Maintain records of permits, licences, inspections and compliance reports
- Liaise with regulatory agencies (NEA, SCDF, PUB, MOM) and respond to inquiries and audits
- Participate in environmental audits and develop corrective action plans to close out deficiencies
- Monitor changes in waste management legislation and industry best practices, and recommend improvements
- Support ad hoc compliance duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Waste Management and Regulatory Compliance
- Proven track record as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager
- Working knowledge of NEA, SCDF, PUB and MOM regulatory requirements
- Experience in risk management and internal controls
- Familiar with industry practices, environmental standards and audit processes
- Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills
- Willing to attend and keep current all required Safety and Environment courses
