Introduction
A large healthcare organization seeks an Epic Certified Hospital Claims & Remittance Senior Application Analyst for a permanent position onsite in southeast Florida. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in Epic Hospital Claims and Remittance. This role partners with operational stakeholders and technical teams to maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot complex Epic-supported workflows. You will serve as a subject matter expert, help drive workflow and process improvements, and support upgrades and ongoing application performance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day ownership of complex Epic application functionality supporting hospital claims and remittance workflows.
  • Maintain deep understanding of operational workflows supported by the application.
  • Generate and analyze application reporting to support decision-making and process improvement.
  • Partner with technical teams and vendors to ensure stability, usability, and continuity for end users.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate current and proposed changes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Coordinate upgrades, configuration changes, and ongoing maintenance to keep systems current and reliable.
  • Lead or support application/module projects requiring advanced subject matter expertise and certifications.
  • Support vendor selection, data management, and process improvement initiatives related to assigned applications.
  • Analyze system capabilities, inputs/outputs, reporting structures, and controls to resolve complex issues.
  • Proactively identify workflow optimization opportunities using operational process and data analysis.
  • Independently resolve end-user inquiries and escalations, engaging vendors as needed.
  • Serve as a mentor and technical resource for junior analysts.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of application development and deployment efforts.
  • Participate in research of industry trends and application adoption to inform continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Epic Claims & Remittance Certification (Epic Hospital Claims & Remittance).
  • Strong overall Epic experience supporting complex workflows.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant application analyst experience in a healthcare environment or similarly complex setting.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology (or closely related field).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting regulated/privacy-sensitive environments (e.g., HIPAA-aligned practices).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts.
  • Prior project lead experience for an Epic module, application upgrade, or multi-workstream initiative.
