Equity People Operations Coach

The HR Operations Coach is responsible for translating the organization's HR strategy into consistent, practical execution across Equity Stores. The role partners with store leadership to improve people practices, build management capability, ensure policy compliance, and deliver an exceptional employee experience while supporting business performance. To ensure the consistent application of P&C best practices across all restaurants in scope. This role is also pivotal in driving high levels of engagement by partnering with relevant stakeholders around employee experience management. Additionally, ensuring compliance to P&C fundamentals is also a key output of this role

Responsibilities:

Operationalize HR Strategy
•Implement HR strategic initiatives across assigned Equity Stores.
•Translate HR policies and programmes into practical store-level action plans.
•Monitor execution of key HR priorities and provide regular progress updates.
•Ensure alignment between business objectives and people initiatives.


Coach and Develop Store Leaders
•Coach store managers on people management best practices.
•Build leadership capability in performance management, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and talent development.
•Support managers in managing employee relations issues effectively and consistently.
•Facilitate leadership and HR capability workshops.


Onboard New Talent & Management Support
• Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs at team member and
• Support the Implementation of talent initiatives as outlines in HR Strategy
• Work closely with Equity talent Sourcing to ensure all critical vacancies are filled timeously @ TM FT & SS Level
• Assist and support in driving the internal talent pipeline @ SS level across the respective areas
• Manage & Coordinate learnership intake, onboarding and retention (life cycle)


Build People Capability Support
• Assist with the Implementation and coordination of people capability initiatives as outlined in P&C Strategy
• Support in building our ARM and RGM capability through engagement & coaching
• Support the RGM’s in all areas of the people process to ensure quality of appraisals, mid-year reviews, pay review processes
Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes for training events
• Ensure that training initiatives are executed based on the approved training plan and training recommendations


Champion Culture and Org Effectiveness
• Effectively manage & support in facilitating the end-to-end IDP Cycle
• Maintain schedule and coordinate culture calendar activities & initiatives as outlined on P&C strategy
• Be an ambassador in Driving KFC Africa culture values and aiding RGM’s to entrench at restaurant level
• Support in driving employee engagement through EES feedback and action planning


Employee Relations
• Ensure compliance to Code of Conduct
• Ensure compliance to the KFC EX Blueprint
• Support with initiatives to ensure Employment Equity and Diversity and Inclusion
• Redeploy and Exit Employees through executing all admin activities related to the redeployment and exit of employees, including, retirement, ill-health, etc


Business Partnerships
• Build strong business partnerships with the RGM’s, Area Coaches and key stakeholders across equity
• Support Talent Manager and Equity Stakeholders to drive key P&C metrics to ensure P&C value add
• Partner effectively with ER Manager, for seamless management
• Manage payroll & admin activities for all equity employees
• Partner with OIC’s on effectively managing GEM for all equity employees

Qualifications:

Education:
• Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Preferred:
• Honor’s Degree in related field
Experience
• Minimum 5 years Generalist HR experience in FMCG
• Exposure to Employee Relations matters
• Exposure to payroll basics
Competencies:
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
