ESP Field Service Technician - Permian
Summary
Field technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical submersible pump systems in remote oilfield locations, ensuring safety and equipment uptime.
NOV Artificial Lift is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Technician to support our field service team. This role is responsible for completing daily field operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate will lead by example, provide technical guidance, and ensure optimal equipment performance in the field.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Perform field service activities, including installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure proper system installation and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while on-site
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or vocational training preferred
- 2 years of field service experience in ESP systems, artificial lift is preferred
- Prior training is preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in remote field locations under varying conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
