Executive, Cost Accounting
Description:
Responsible for executing cost accounting processes and financial analysis activities to ensure accurate monitoring of product costs, operational expenses, and financial performance. The role manages maintenance of cost accounting records, cost allocation procedures, and analysis of production and operational costs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies. It supports preparation of cost reports, variance analysis, and financial insights to assist budgeting and operational decision-making. The position contributes to recording accounting transactions, maintaining ledger accounts, and reconciling cost-related financial data, ensuring reliability of financial reporting. It also collaborates with finance and operational teams to strengthen cost control practices, financial transparency, and reporting accuracy.
Essential Functions:
- Execute assigned cost accounting activities and procedures
- Prepare cost statements, schedules, and reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing and support cost centres
- Record and analyze cost accounting transactions in ERP systems
- Assist in period close management for cost-related accounts
- Track and analyze cost variances and operational deviations
- Support cost management & optimization initiatives
- Maintain accurate cost data and documentation
- Assist in audit preparation and compliance reviews
- Coordinate with operations and finance teams on cost reporting requirements
Additional Responsibilities:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) B.Com - Required
- Master Degree (MS/MA) MA - Preferred
- 5 years or more in 5 - 8 Years
