Extrusion Technician/Cell Leader PVC A Crew
Summary
Lead a PVC extrusion production cell, overseeing daily operations, safety, and team performance while troubleshooting equipment and improving processes.
Hours: A Crew: 6:45AM to 7PM 2/2/3
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour!
This position is eligible for a $2,100.00 Sign-On Bonus!
- $700.00 after 90 days
- $700.00 after 6 months
- $700.00 after 1 year of employment
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:

- Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the cell to meet production schedules.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Troubleshooting and operating extrusion lines
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor cell team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct daily huddles to communicate goals, updates, and address team concerns.
- Support employee development by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using Lean principles.
- Monitor workflow and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for production issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure production lines meet quality standards and address deviations promptly.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to maintain compliance with specifications and procedures.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinate the availability of materials, tools, and equipment for uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and maintenance needs.
- Communication:
- Serve as the liaison between the cell and upper management, providing regular updates and reports.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and other departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- At minimum, must be a current Operator or Extrusion Technician
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, if required.
